You can schedule your backups to run daily, weekly, monthly or whenever you like automatically. The scheduler runs an XML definition file, VBScript or MS-DOS batch file.

Note: Macrium Reflect uses the Windows Scheduler service so you need to ensure that this has been activated in Windows. |
You can schedule XML definition files, VBScript files or MS-DOS
files by either right clicking on the file you wish to schedule in Macrium
Reflect and selecting 'Schedule'
from the menu, or click the icon in the
relevant section.
You will then be presented with the following dialog:

Note: Backup type choice is not available in the Free Edition. |
Select the options you require as follows:

Select Full, Incremental or Differential depending on the type of backup your require |
Run as user / password |
You can configure the task to run as a different user, however they must have Administrator privileges. |
Task Name |
Enter a textual description that can be used to identify this task in the Windows Scheduler |
Click Next
Select how often you would like the task to run. Options are Daily, Weekly, Monthly, One Time Only, When my computer starts and At log on
Click Next
You can now configure specifically when you would like the task to run. The dialog above shows the weekly view. Other dialogs may differ slightly.
When you are happy, click Next
This dialog shows a summary of the scheduled task.
Review the changes and click Finish.
A task will then be added to the Windows scheduler and will be run as required.
